B2O Bar & Grill
About This Spot
Stepping into B2O Bar & Grill, you immediately sense the inviting hum of a gathering spot grounded in community and warmth. This Temple City brewpub feels like a second home where chatter flows easily, and the pace slows just enough to savor each moment. The comfortable mix of familiar faces and curious newcomers creates an atmosphere that’s welcoming without fuss—a place to settle in, share stories, and let the evening unfold naturally.
The setting reflects its roots as a family-run gem, blending casual friendliness with a hint of festive energy. Soft lighting and the steady clink of glasses set the mood for conversations that stretch well beyond a meal. It’s the kind of place where the focus isn’t just on what’s served, but how the food and drinks bring people together.
In the kitchen, flavors come alive with a confident nod to authentic Taiwanese and Sichuan influences, teasing the palate with the right balance of spice and comfort. The experience here is not just about the dishes themselves but the way they complement a well-poured beer or a carefully chosen sake. Whether it’s the satisfying crunch of house-special fried chicken wings or the complex layers of a spicy crawfish, there’s a thoughtful, unpretentious approach to every bite that invites sharing and discovery.
The menu is a journey through vibrant, robust flavors—from crisp, hand-rolled scallion pancakes to delicately spiced boiled meats, each dish carries a touch of home-cooked familiarity wrapped in subtle adventurousness. Vegetables and noodles round out the offering, ensuring there’s something to suit every appetite and curiosity.
Here, the experience extends beyond food to the human moments that unfold—a lively clink of beer pitchers at happy hour, friends teasing each other over a steaming bowl, or newcomers returning again and again, drawn by the comfort and authenticity that lingers like a familiar melody. B2O Bar & Grill is more than a brewpub; it’s a welcoming neighborhood retreat where warmth, flavor, and community meet.

One of my go to places with good priced beer pitchers, amazing food, and great ambiance. The store seems like a family operation and everyone is incredibly friendly and welcoming. Awesome place to hang out for happy hour or late night drinks.

It's already their 15th anniversary. My favorite dishes taste great like always. Love to eat/drink/hang out with my buddies. Recommend for authentic Taiwanese dishes.

This is my go to drink and eat with friends. I love their food here, surf clam is so good. I normally order surf clam, special fry rice, special string bean, chicken wings. When I want to drink with my friends we would order all kinds of dishes to try it out, so far everything is yummu.

We searched for a long time to find a shop that sells stinky tofu with a taste that is not exactly the same as in Taiwan but quite close. Stinky tofu here is prepared in many different ways, such as deep-fried, cooked with sauce, or cooked as hot pot. Other Chinese dishes are also quite delicious such as dishes made with Sichuan peppers such as chicken, lamb, pork or beef fried crispy with Sichuan peppers, fried stinky tofu with Sichuan sauce. Some of the dishes here I think can be eaten vegetarian, but as a pub, I do not recommend vegetarians to come here. And since it is a pub, I don't think it is suitable for children. The imported stouts here are really great. Plus they have a great buy 2 get 1 free deal (3 total). They also have a very interesting Soju Smoothie drink. The space inside the restaurant is decorated in a rather dark style, sometimes if you are a bit drunk it will be a bit difficult to see the way or pick up food accurately. I think wheelchair users will be quite inconvenient here, because I don't see any specific aisles and seating positions for wheelchair users. In addition, the space is quite small so it will be quite inconvenient for those who use wheelchairs. There are quite a few Asian guests who come here to relieve stress so sometimes you may get into language confusion here. But the biggest minus point is the service attitude, the staff here have poor English, sometimes we have to use pictures to order the specific dishes we want. And instead of trying to understand each other and be more friendly, they turn away and talk to each other in Mandarin with an unpleasant and discriminatory attitude. We are from Europe but we are completely familiar with the American tipping culture. When we paid, we paid by card and tipped them in cash, which was around 18% of our bill. But she immediately expressed her displeasure, and wrote down a number that was around 25%. It was absurd that she did not deserve such a confusing and unpleasant service attitude. And the fact that she was so exact about the tip she expected made it even more ridiculous. This could have been a place we would highly recommend to friends or ourselves to come back to if we were ever in LA because the food here is amazing, but with that attitude of service, everything needs to be considered. It is also quite difficult to find parking here or the street parking fee is very high for those who travel here by their own vehicle.
